I've recently started running with my man several miles per day and man is it hurting and getting me in great shape! Working out at the gym just wasn't cutting it alone - I need to run! What are some goals and accomplishments you are pursuing or thinking of pursuing? Here are some areas to consider: spiritual, educational/life improvement, body/physical/food, financial goals, career, and family/friend relationships? Did you know at a Harvard study, that the area that makes people the happiest as they age is not money and accomplishments, but rather relationships with friends and family? How are you growing?
We're able to cure many problems today that were deadly in the past, with vaccines and antibiotics. There is a rapidly growing number of centenarians these days, and our lifespans are projected to continue growing. People used to have crazy treatments for mental health such as lobotomies and strait jackets, and back in ancient times holes were drilled into the backs of the heads of many people to release so called spirits or demons, most-likely from mental illness, epilepsy and headaches. Numerous people died from these barbaric procedures. I'm glad I live in the times of these days! How do you feel about our past history of medical practices and where do you think the medical industry is taking us? I go into depth about this in my new book, "How Long Can We Live?" due out next month.
In my book "How Long Can We Live?" I discuss the new science that is being discovered and implemented these days. Brain chips, being installed into 12 paraplegic's brains to help them move their arms and memory recollection enhancements. What does this mean for the future possibilities of preventing or correcting Alzheimer's? And just general memory problems as our bodies change as we develop over time? Would you be willing to have a brain chip installed in your hippocampus to better your memory or help with a disease? I would if it was a minimally invasive procedure and the risk of problems was low. I think technology is amazing, and another question I have for you is what do you think this means for government involvement of being able to sort of read the minds of people? Is that a possibility in the future? I don't know, but I think our privacy will always be protected no matter where the future takes us. We have rights. What are your thoughts?
I recently finished up a book called "How Long Can We Live?" that goes into some interesting topics about the longevity of life and health. I'd love to know what's your vision for our future. In my book, I talk about how we might look futuristic and younger. Healthcare may be different, possibly available to all. What do you think is in store for us? Please share your thoughts and visions in this blog post about our future.
